Volunteer!

Because we don't take any soft money from corporations, political action committees, or lobbyists, we rely entirely on our staff of volunteers to help this campaign run successfully. They are the meat and bones of our operations. No matter how little or how much time you can donate, or what you choose to do, your work with us will be absolutely invaluable, and vital to Simone's campaign. Some Options:

Office work
There's always work to be done in our office, including fundraising, managing and maintaining our databases, preparing campaign materials, and recruiting even more volunteers.

Canvassing
Another crucial part of volunteering, and a very unique and exciting part of our campaign, is canvassing. When you canvas, you're assigned a section of the district - and a partner, if you like - and you go speak with its residents directly about Simone. You'll interact with these voters one on one, and hear them voice their concerns and their aspirations. This is really interesting and fun experience, and democracy at its finest!

Intern!
There's a number of internships available for students (high school and undergrad), and any others who are interested. We can help arrange for academic credit, and our hours are very flexible. You can plan events, design and edit campaign materials, and coordinate voter outreach. The work is really exciting, and no matter what you're planning your future in, it's always an experience.

Host an event!
We are always in need of people to willing to host small, low-key, meet-the-candidate events in their homes or businesses. 
1. Tea and cookies (4-8 people)
You can host a tea and cookies event for a few of your friends in your home. WE will provide campaign literature and foor, and Simone will pay you a visit to talk about her campaign and the Green Party.
2. Meet and greet (10-25 people)
Invite your neighbors, friends, and family to dinner or for chips and dip, and Simone will join you for a discussion on her campaign, her objectives, and her plans for the future of Hamden.
